David Martin serves as the managing director and head of equity research at Bloom Burton & Co. Before joining Bloom Burton, Martin most recently served as vice president, corporate development and investor relations at a fast-growing medical device company. Earlier in his career, he led the healthcare equity research team at an independent Canadian investment bank, and he has also worked for a global clinical diagnostics company.
Martin received a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario for his research into transgenic suppression of tumors. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
